Hello! I am Sydnei Mayers, a passionate and globally minded technical communication and instructional design professional with a strong academic background and commitment to my work and community. I bring over five years of experience in technical communication, including over three years specializing in instructional design and nearly two years of impactful UX research. My collaborations with notable clients such as DHS, ICE, HHS, FEMA, and GaDOE have earned me recognition, including a DHS challenge coin and a letter of commendation. I excel at integrating communication strategies into exceptional user experiences. My passion for effective communication and user-centric design consistently contributes to successful project outcomes.

I graduated with honors from Mercer University's School of Engineering, where I earned a B.S. in Technical Communication. As a senior, I began an exciting journey by enrolling in Mercer's 4+1 program, working towards an M.S. in Technical Communication Management. I proudly completed my master's degree, maintaining an impressive 3.9/4.0 GPA throughout. I also hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, demonstrating my expertise in process improvement and efficiency. I am currently pursuing Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credentials.

Life Beyond Work

My commitment to helping others extends beyond the classroom. I actively engage with my peers and community, always striving to offer support whenever possible. When you work with me, you can expect 100% transparency and unwavering dedication to our shared goals.

 

Outside of my professional pursuits, I find immense fulfillment in giving back to the community. I volunteer at a local low-income senior apartment complex, where I cherish the opportunity to positively impact the lives of the senior residents. I have even adopted several grandparents. In my leisure time, you will often find me immersed in the captivating worlds of Marvel and DC, fueling my love for storytelling and creativity. I am an avid reader with a particular passion for fictional novels.
